Marinka was enrolled in the Alberni Hockey Skills Academy for four years. During this time, Marinka worked hard and improved her skating and stick handling skills. She played rep hockey for many years with through the Alberni Valley Minor Hockey Association and then with various senior women’s teams.

Marinka is now living in Hijmegan, Holland and playing on an U19 hockey team. Marinka in enjoying her time. This is an example of the opportunities internationally for students in athletics – hockey. There are many opportunities for girl’s to play ice hockey at the next level. Hard work and perserverance in the Alberni District Hockey Skills Academy will help them development their game.
