Students applying after this date may not be enrolled in the Academy. Selection will be based on “first application received with payment” basis
Eligibility - Students must submit a completed application form.
- Application forms are available at AW Neill Middle, EJ Dunn Middle and Alberni District Secondary School.
- This program is open to any female and male student in grades 6 – 12 registered in School District #70.
Academy Fee: - Cheques to be made out to the school that your son/daughter will be attending in the 2010 – 11 school year.
- The fees listed below include a non-refundable deposit (jersey) of $50.
Grade 6/7 - $370 Grade 8 - $470 Grade 9 to 12 - $570 - Students who are not registered in the Alberni Valley Minor Hockey Association will need to pay an additional $70 for Insurance purposes.
International Students: Transportation/Equipment & Storage It is encouraged that parents pick up their child’s equipment after each ice session. Please drop off and pick up as soon as possible as there is limited space in the lobby to the Multiplex. Selection Criteria - The Academy Administration determines class composition.
- School Administration has the right to refuse acceptance to the Academy if past fees have not been paid, or has not signed a Code of Conduct Agreement, Students will be withdrawn from the Academy and enrolled in a grade appropriate Physical Education class if they are unable to live up to the intent of the agreement.
- Students who have experience behavioral issues in the previous school year may not be accepted.
Financial Aid Students can apply for financial support at www.kidsportcanada.ca and www.canadiantire.ca/jumpstart. Applications are available at each school site or online.
